The original photo of this Iranian Man was taken by a French photographer Alan Rempfer. The moment I saw it I knew I had to paint it and went about asking for permission to use the photo as a reference. Alan was very pleased with the end result and I am very grateful to have been given a chance to paint this joyful man.
